Dimple Patel Desai is a physician, mother of three, and lifelong storyteller. Her debut novel, "The Lambda Factor," was selected as 2021 Maxy Award runner-up. Her story drew heavily from her personal experiences in residency training and volunteering in disaster recovery efforts in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Irma to create a compelling medical fiction thriller. She is truly passionate about bringing awareness to a broader audience—from a health care standpoint— about the complexities that transpire during a crisis.
